“Don’t Graduate… From the Gospel”

I want to begin by saying, “thank you, class of 2022.” It’s truly an honor to be with you all today, and I’m grateful for the invitation… Brother Miskovic, students, faculty, and families.
You did it! I’m proud for you and proud of you all.
You all have such an incredible future ahead, and I pray that you would remember that “surely mercy and goodness will follow you all the days of your life.”
Have you ever considered what the word “graduate” means?
Graduate means to “successfully complete a study or training...”
You have successfully completed your high school training, education.
And everyone in this room has pushed and encouraged you to finish well and GRADUATE!
Teachers, parents, advisors have all been pushing you to graduate.
That is the gospel.
So tonight, my prayer is that
Don’t graduate from the gospel. Why not?
Don’t move past what?
